End Of Day 1

Well the first day was complete at 4:50 pm. With the drizzle, grey sky, and early sunset, the Judges called it to make sure visibility was fair for all.

Test Dog 6:30 am

87. FC Wetlands Way Out Willie "Willie", LM, John Henninger

F: Front-Footed it!

LR: going for MR but swims past it on the left kept driving to the dam and then out of sight only to reappear out of the tules bird in mouth from the LR.

MR: entered the pond got deep of the blind on the right then took a hard left and straight to the bird.

86. FC Vinwood's Million Dollar Baby "Babe", LF, Danny Farmer

F: Pinned it!

MR: traveled right of the holding blind got deep then took a hard left straight to the area to complete the retrieve.

LR: straight to the area made a few passes before completing the retrieve for a job well done.

85. FC-AFC Citori's No Holds Barred "Free", LF, Bill Sargenti

F: Good Job!

LR: est a small hunt in the area before retrieving the bird.

MR: traveled a path wide right of the holding blind got deep est a hunt before breaking hard left to the area and retrieving the bird

84. FC Hyfly'n Turbo Jet "Turbo", LM, Ray Voigt

F: a loop and a scoop for a good mark!

MR: Picture Perfect mark!

LR: Smacked it!

83. FC NTK's Rock Me On The Water "Jackson", LM, Chris Ledford

F: a loop and scoop of the bird for a good mark!

MR: traveled a path wide right of the holding blind, jumped into the water then took an immediate left to go straight to the bird.

LR:again took off wide right, hunted right of the holding blind before working left to the area and complete the retrieve.

81. FC Sweetie's Easy Rider "Ford", LM, Jim Gonia

F: Drilled it!

MR: traveled a path wide left of the area, got equal distance from the holding blind took a hard right toward the blind, jumped in the water driving left to the area to complete the retrieve.

LR: straight to the area put a small hunt to dig the bird out for a job well done

82. FC-AFC Ruff Rivers Oasis On The Plains "Colby", LF, Clint Avant

F: Smacked it!

MR: swam to the area made a couple passes before snatching up the bird.

LR: Excellent mark!

80. FC Landover's Joy "Joy", LF, Dave Ward

F: Up the middle of the field between the flyer and the middle retired … hunted deep but worked it out.

MR: Great line to the right bird, got down by the pond and turned left and went across to the middle bird.

LR: Very wide right; deep right up the hill and over out of sight. Came out of the cover with her bird.

Pick Up 79. FC Back By Popular Demand "Petey", LM, Alan Pleasant

F: Went out to the fall area and stayed into the area till he got it.

MR: Down the middle into the pond, turned left in the water and got the middle bird.

LR: Had to handle – was very wide right and had to pick-up.

78. AFC Leica Sabertooth "Tiger", LM, Dave Rorem

F: Out to the flyer area, one quick loop and he got it.

MR: Missed on the left, got deep and turned back … got off from the water side

LR: Great line to the first set of tules. Turned right around to the second set. Got in the cover and got the bird.

Pick Up 77. FC Swift Rivers No Problems "Kenny", LM, Ed Forry

F: Had a hunt in the middle between flyer and middle bird

LR: Straight down the middle and missed the bird on the left. Ran up to the levee and when we next saw him, he had the right hand bird

MR: Same line past the bird, but this time he turned right into the pond … lots of problems and had to pick up on this bird.

76. FC-AFC Lanes Lets Get Ready To Rumble "Ali", LM, Ryan Brasseaux

F: A Knock Out Mark!

MR: straight to the area for a great mark!

LR: traveled a path at the bird, entered the tules went out of sight to then reappear with the bird.

75. FC-AFC Fresh Squeezed Juice "Juice", LM, Mark Medford

F: ran deep but put on the brakes to turn and scoop up the bird.

MR: drove a hair deep of the area on the right to quickly turn left and retrieve the bird.

LR: est a hunt wide right of the holding blind, then turned left to make way to the area and complete the retrieve for a job well done!

73. FC-AFC Midnight Shooter III "Shooter", LM, Pat Nicholls

F: Nice mark!

MR: Nail it!

LR: traveled a bit right of the holding blind, making a right turn at the holding blind then turn left to the area and retrieved the bird.

72. FC Ellie Of Redrock "Ellie", LF, Bill Totten

F: Stepped on it!

MR: looked like the dog was sent for the LR. Dog jumped into the right side of the pond got to the first set of tules and then took a hard left toward the MR to hunt it out and complete the retrieve.

LR: traveled the field wide and right of the holding blind, went out of sight to appear in short order with the bird in mouth.

Gun Change & Conditions Report

Its steadily misting, the wind is gently blowing out of the Northeast and it feels cold. The dogs are not minding the weather one bit making a big splash in the pond.

The dogs are doing the test but, when the wind dies so does the success rate. Its seems dogs are also getting caught up in drag back scent on the LR.

F: Front Footed it!

MR: got to the area, kept driving, got deep but quickly turn to retrieve the bird.

LR: est a hunt just shy of the area before pressing on to retrieve the bird for a job well done.

F: hunted quick & deep before retrieving the bird

LR: traveled the middle of the draw then turned right out to the blind and then over to the bird.

MR: took off on the previous line and was Handled to the bird.

RE-RUN 63. FC-CFC Handjems Artful Dodger "Dodger", LM, Ryan Brasseaux

F: est a sizable hunt before retrieving the bird.

MR: Drilled it!

LR: Nice mark!

MR: straight to the bird.

LR: hunted just deep and right of the holding blind before making her way over to the area to retrieve the bird.

F: est a hunted the area before retrieving the bird.

LR: est a hunt short of the area before pressing on to retrieve the bird.

MR: Good Mark!

MR: ran over top of the mound where the gun station retries, swam to the shore made a few loops here before pressing over to the area to retrieve the bird.

LR: traveled a path wide and right of the area, est a hunt to the right of the holding blind before working to the left making it over to the area to complete the retrieve.

F: Hit it out of the park for a Great Mark!

MR: drove a bit deep of the area and worked toward the bird for a quick retrieve.

LR: est a hunt short of the area, (poss drag back build up), then pushed on to retrieve the bird clean for a job well done!

MR: straight to the bird.

LR: a picture perfect mark for this little girl, Jemma!

MR: started toward the flyer then took a hard right toward the MR got a bit deep of the area and worked his way into the area to complete the retrieve.

LR: had a good initial line got just deep of the holding blind to recover quickly and retrieve the bird clean.

F: again drove deep of the area then swiftly turn inward to the area to put series 1 in the book.

*** Condition Note: There isn't even a whisper of wind to help with scenting

F: Stepped on it!

LR: took a good initial line toward the area, est a hunt between the holding blind and the area before making it over to retrieve the bird.

MR: drove deep of the area to the dam est a hunt before the dog was Handled to the bird.

MR: traveled deep and left of the area then quickly turn inward to make way to the area and retrieve the bird.

MR: drove a bit deep of the area while in the water quickly turn inward toward the tule

LR: took off on a line toward the MR and was Handled to the bird.

MR: est a small hunt just short of the area before pushing into the tules to retrieve the bird.

LR: traveled toward the holding blind, hunted near the blind before getting into the area to retrieve the bird.

F: made a quick loop left then right in the area of the fall before retrieving the bird.

MR: made a loop left and right just short of the area before pushing deeper to retrieve the bird.

LR: dog took off on a path left of the area, got behind a tree appear to be going to the MR and was then Handled to the bird.

F: made a quick loop deep then scooped up the bird quick!

MR: Chalk-lined to the bird.

LR: entered the pond heading toward the area, swam past the point drove deep on the dam made a loop right and then went out of sight to reappear with the bird.

F: hunted right of the area before working it out for a nice mark!

MR: skimmed the front side of the holding blind on the way to the area, got to the area and snatched up the bird swiftly.

LR: great initial line under the arc, drove deep and right of the area, went out of sight for a bit before appearing with bird in mouth.

MR: got in the water swam near the area took a hard right then an immediate left to retrieve the bird well.

LR: drove to the holding blind made a 90' to the left and then to the bird for a job well done.
